This program provides low-cost access to mental healthcare for approved and uninsured Orcas Island Residents. Program participants can receive up to 12 counseling sessions for a sliding scale copay of $5–$30 per session. Contact OCRC for assistance.
Medical Teams International provides volunteers to operate a traveling Dental Van here on Orcas Island. Services provided include oral health exams, X-rays, fillings, and tooth extractions. Remaining Orcas Island dates for 2022 are September 19-22, and November 2-5. Adults on Medicaid or without dental insurance are invited to make an appointment. To access Dental Van services fill out an application and drop it off at the Orcas Community Resource Center or the Orcas Senior Center. Click on the links at the bottom of the page to download an application. Paper applications may also be picked up directly at the Orcas Community Resource Center and the Orcas Senior Center.
The SmileMobile will visit Orcas from April 19-22, 2022. The SmileMobile serves infants (babies first tooth) and children through high school age, as well as pregnant/postpartum people with Apple Health, and those who are uninsured. Services include examinations, fluoride varnish, sealants, x-rays, simple extraction, temporary fillings and written referrals.
